DATED May 22, 1919 Souvenir Ornate Forget Me Not French Engraved Love Medal Art Nouveau Antique 18k Gold PENDANT Belle Epoque Floral Gift

ABOUT:

A beautifully detailed French antique medal / pendant in 18k gold with forget me not floral design and openwork cutouts. The front side is 22 Mai 1919 (French for May 22nd, 1919) and the back is smooth and could even be further engraved. Certainly given as a love token or souvenir from one friend or loved one to another. Art Nouveau / Belle Epoque period with gorgeous satin and contrasting high sheen. Pretty little engraved details to the flowers and a coin textured edge.

Found in France, their love medals and good luck charms are fun to collect, mix and match. French hallmark for 18k gold with a goldsmith stamp.

Antique props, chain, etc. not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it is difficult to show scale in the photos with the zoom that is required for detail.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
No dings, better than most condition. Can't believe it's over 100 years old. These are always quite thin so they usually have some curves : ) but this one is excellent.

Beautiful rich antique patina.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
